Dierks Bentley - 10 years of the Opry
On September 29th, Dierks Bentley highlighted a show in celebration of his anniversary of being a member of the Grand Ole Opry for 10 years. Dierks opened with his classic "What was I thinking" as well as songs from his other albums including "Riser" from the CD of the same title. Dierks said "The Opry is my home" and how this evening meant so much to him. Also making the return trip was Dierks dog, Blake. Not bad considering he was at one time banned from the back stage area. As an employee of the Nashville Network, Dierks would sign up to go backstage to watch performances. After awhile, he caught the eye General Manager Pete Fisher, who noticed he was back there quite a bit, so he limited his access.
